Don’t be shy about interrupting today. If someone is droning on, and you haven’t a clue what he’s talking about, stop him and ask for clarification. This is actually a compliment, as it shows that you’re seeking to truly understand. If you’re the one leading a discussion, check in with your audience periodically, instead of issuing a breathless monologue without pause. The point is, after all, to get your point across effectively.
